One of Maxwell's most important helpers is Officer Byte, who manages all the traffic in the city. Officer Byte is connected to every traffic light, monitoring thousands of cars, buses, and bicycles simultaneously. When sensors detect heavy traffic building up on Main Street, Byte instantly adjusts the timing of traffic lights across the city to keep vehicles flowing smoothly, reducing traffic jams by up to seventy percent!

Cleaner Chip is another essential member of the robot city team, responsible for keeping streets spotless. Chip uses special cameras and sensors to identify litter, recyclable materials, and things that need repair. Within minutes of someone dropping a piece of trash, Chip or one of hundreds of smaller cleaning robots arrives to pick it up, making the city remarkably clean compared to human-managed cities.
