A Day at School
Emma wakes up early in the morning. She is excited to go to school today. She puts on her blue uniform and eats breakfast.
Emma walks to school with her friend Tom. They talk about their favorite subjects. Emma loves math and Tom loves art.
The school bell rings at 8 o'clock. All the children go to their classroom. They sit at their desks and wait for their teacher.
Miss Johnson is their teacher. She has a warm smile and says good morning to everyone. The children say good morning back to her.
The first lesson is reading. Miss Johnson reads a story about a brave rabbit. The children listen carefully and learn new words.
Next is math class. Emma is very happy because math is her favorite subject. They learn to add numbers together. Emma solves all the problems correctly.
At 10 o'clock, the children have a break. They go outside to the playground. Emma and Tom play on the swings and run around with their friends.
After the break, they have art class. Tom is excited because he loves to draw and paint. They make pictures of their families using colorful paints.
At lunchtime, all the children eat together. Emma has a sandwich and an apple. Tom has pasta and a banana. They share their snacks with each other.
In the afternoon, they learn about science. Miss Johnson shows them how plants grow. She brings a small plant to class and explains that plants need water and sunlight.
The children also learn about animals. They see pictures of different animals from around the world. Emma likes the elephants and Tom likes the lions.
Before home time, Miss Johnson reads another story. This time it is a funny story that makes everyone laugh. The children feel happy and relaxed.
At 3 o'clock, school ends for the day. Emma packs her backpack with her books. She says goodbye to Miss Johnson and her friends.
Emma and Tom walk home together. They talk about what they learned today. Emma says she had a wonderful day at school. Tom agrees and smiles.
When Emma gets home, she tells her mom about her day. She learned so many new things. She cannot wait to go back to school tomorrow.
